Meet Forman Scholar Michaela DuBois. She is in her junior year at Bucknell University where she is majoring in International Studies. She also has a keen interest in the theater arts and music and incorporates that into her studies as well. We wish you all the best, MIchaela!

Meet Forman Scholar Katie Ridgway. Katie is a junior at Rowan University. She began her college career at Rutgers in New Brunswick but then transferred to Rowan this past year to participate in their undergraduate education program. She's well on her way to becoming a great teacher someday!

Meet Forman Scholar Sarah Sharp. Sarah is a junior at Stockton University majoring in psychology. Sarah begins her college career with a list of very impressive list of high school accomplishments, including graduating as the valedictorian of the 2018 class of Salem High School. Meet Forman Scholar Starrchild Jackson. He is in his junior year at Boston University, majoring in political science. During his high school career he held many leadership positions, and it's no surprise that he wants to continue to strive for leadership roles as he pursues a career in business or politics. Can't wait to see what is in store for Starr!

Meet Forman Scholar Sierra Brown. Sierra is in her junior year at Stockton University in New Jersey and is majoring in psychology. She loves the beautiful campus and learning environment at Stockton and is excited about heading back to the campus for her 3nd year. Stockton is lucky to have her!

Meet Forman Scholar Aniya Eldridge. She is a sophomore at Stockton University and is majoring in biology with a concentration in pre-med. She has always had dreams of becoming a doctor and, specifically, a pediatric surgeon. We know her deep kindness and focus on her studies will make her a wonderful doctor some day! Ashley Garcia is a sophomore at the University of Delaware. She is pursuing a major in biology and a minor in public health and is on the pre-med track to eventually become a cardiothoracic surgeon. She is looking forward to experiencing the freedom of studying her passion in college, and we can't wait to see her thrive. Have a wonderful year, Ashley!

Akina is a sophomore attending Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. She had a great first year and is looking forward to another year of wonderful experiences at Swarthmore. It has been a great fit for her. Good luck, Kina!

William Oakes is a sophomore attending Lafayette College where he plans to pursue studies in the field of engineering. He found his first year to very challenging and stimulating. Beyond his studies, William was a phenomenal saxophone player in high school, and hopes to be able to continue to find time for music while at Lafayette. Have a wonderful sophomore year, William!

Aliyah is a sophomore attending Rowan College of South Jersey and is studying nursing. As someone fascinated with the human body and how it works, she is thrilled to take classes that dive into how medicine and care can help people live better, longer lives. You're an all-star, Aliyah, and we know you'll do wonderful work at Rowan College!

Forman Scholar Bryce Smick is a freshman at Rowan University. Unlike many students he easily made the decision on what he wants to study a relatively easy one. With a passion for our world, he is an environmental science major. We look forward to your journey exploring this important topic. We're so excited for you, Bryce!

Meet Forman Scholar Kyla Avant. She is a junior at the University of Scranton and is majoring in Occupational Therapy. Her compassionate and nurturing manner will surely lead to outstanding success in this field. Have a wonderful year, Kyla!

Megan is a sophomore attending Drew University in New Jersey. She is majoring in English with the hopes of educating others someday as an English teacher. She is thrilled to head back to Drew for her second year of college, and we're confident that she will continue to soar at Drew! Good luck, Megan!

Forman Scholar Darius Sanders is a freshman at Drew University. He is looking forward to pursuing his interests in psychology or sociology. After then he may even attend law school. We're so excited to see him explore his career and learn! Do great things, Darius!

Forman Scholar Diamani Reed is a freshman at Drew University. She has her sights set on voicing the next blockbuster animated Disney musical. For now she's studying in the vocal music program. We know her beautiful voice and determination will take her far! We're so proud of you, Diamani!

Forman Scholar Emma Boggs is a freshman at Drew University. She has her sights set on becoming a powerful CEO one day and looks forward to following this path during her studies. Forman Scholar Jeremy Beal is a freshman at Rowan University. He is an electrical engineering major and hopes to combine this with his love of music and technology in the future. We're so excited to see what he does next. Rock on, Jeremy!

Forman Scholar Elinor Frank is a freshman at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Constantly staying busy, she is on the pre-physician’s-assistant track, as well as minor in American Sign Language. We know you'll do amazing things. Have the best time, Elinor!

Forman Scholar Tommy Hunter is a freshman at Towson University. Already having a successful stint in the musical and performance world, he is a music education major. He studies in the hopes to be a vocal music teacher or even work one-on-one with students in private lessons. We can't wait to see what a special career he will have! Meet Forman Scholar Elise Davenport. Elise is a well-rounded student athlete who had been involved in multiple activities while in high school, college, and within her community. She has participated in community garden volunteer projects, various areas of performing arts, and multiple years in student council in HS, and has continued that active lifestyle in college. Elise is pursuing a career in Nursing and is in her 4th at Messiah College in Pennsylvania. Have a wonderful year, Elise!

Forman Scholar Jacob Grusemeyer is a freshman at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Following in his family's footsteps of serving the community, he is studying as a criminology major in the hopes to have a career in law enforcement. Study hard and have fun, Jacob!

Meet Forman Scholar and 2016 Salem High School Valedictorian Abigail Sharp, a 5th year student at George Washington University. She is majoring in systems engineering and minoring in business administration and hopes to use her education to pursue a career in project management. We love your ambition, Abigail! Meet Forman Scholar Destiny Green, a senior at Rowan University. She is a talented and committed young woman with a long list of accomplishments. Destiny made the most of her days as a Salem Ram as a member of choir, marching band, and Future Business Leaders of America, and now at Rowan, she is majoring in the world of biology. Forman Scholar Gage Ausland is in his first year within Thomas Jefferson University’s six-year Doctor of Physical Therapy program. He was inspired by the times he often found himself on the mend and in need of physical therapy over the years. He certainly has a challenging and rewarding experience ahead of him. Meet Forman Scholar Noah Underwood, who is beginning his final year at Rowan University. Noah was an athlete at Salem High School, and in college, he is majoring in athletic training. His dream is to become an athletic trainer for a professional sports team. You can do anything you put your mind to, Noah!

Meet Forman Scholar S'Deionna Washington, who is in her 5th at Delaware State University. She is finishing up her studies in the prestigious nursing program DSU! After college, she hopes to work in the medical field as a nurse or healthcare administrator. We're excited for you, S'Deionna!

Meet Forman Scholar Arianna Lapp who is in her senior year at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Majoring in Business with plans to become an entrepreneur one day, Arianna has already begun to lay a foundation for success. During high school, Arianna knew the value of a well-rounded experience, achieving academic excellence with participation in varsity sports, student council, theater and the STEM engineering club. She is continuing with that busy schedule at Rutgers and is involved in a myriad of activities! Have a great year, Arianna!

Forman Scholar Jannah Shakir is a freshman at Rutgers University. She is already a budding entrepreneur with her own cosmetic lashes line. This creativity and resourcefulness will be useful as she defines her journey in psychology along with a possible minor in either political science or sociology. She's already accomplished so much. You make us proud, Jannah!

Meet Forman Scholar Emily Hill, who is attending the University of Tampa and majoring in Allied Health with a concentration in Occupational Therapy. Emily is in her senior year at Tampa and loves the warm and sunny learning environment that the university affords. Emily’s leadership skills were honed at Salem High School through her role as the varsity soccer captain and dual management positions for baseball and wrestling. Have a great year, Emily!

Forman Scholar Quadier Adams is a freshman at Fairleigh Dickinson University. Having an interest in police crime drama shows since an early age, he is a criminology major. We're fascinated to see his interesting career unfold. Best of luck, Quadier!
Our Graduates

Mya graduated from Penn State University August of 2019, having completed her course of study in just three years! She received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Criminology, Sociology, and African American studies. Mya is currently working as a middle school teacher in Delaware. As this was not her major, she is currently taking courses to become fully certified while she holds down this full time position. She has assignments in both regular and special education. She also has her sights on further study in school psychology. Mya has a great temperament to be a middle school teacher and we bet the students just love her!!

Brittany graduated in May of 2019 from Rutgers University (Camden) with a degree in painting. She is giving some thought to entering graduate school in the next couple of years but in the interim, will be entering the workforce using her excellent graphic and artistic skills. Congratulations Brittany!

Mariah graduated in May 2018 from Rutgers University with a degree in Public Health. She will begin graduate school at Rutgers in the fall, studying for a Master's degree in Public Health. As one of our veteran scholars, Mariah has been incredibly helpful to many of our youngers Scholars by providing them with her insight and experience with college life. She will be a star wherever she lands in the future. Good luck in graduate school!

Dominique graduated in May 2019 from Salisbury University with a degree in English, with a focus on creative writing. She will begin a master's program at Salisbury University in the fall of 2019 in history. Good luck, Dominique!

Megan graduated in May of 2019 from Thomas Jefferson University with both a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in occupational therapy. The employment possibilities are endless for Megan, and we know she'll succeed wherever she goes!

Madinah graduated from Rowan University in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Finance. She will begin working this fall for the PricewaterhouseCoopers accounting firm in Philadelphia. We wish you all the best, Madinah, and know you're on your way to being an accounting star!

Meet Forman Scholar Evelyn Campbell, who graduated from Rider University in May 2016. Evelyn was very involved on campus, serving as president of the Black Student Union, as secretary of the biological honor society, and as a residence advisor. A biology major, she is now in a PhD program in microbiology at the University of Chicago. Good luck Evelyn! We're so proud of you!
Meet Forman Scholar Najwa Tatum, who graduated from Stockton University in December 2016, and is now a member of our Board of Trustees! Najwa has always loved sports, and is considering a career in physical therapy, with the possibility of opening her own practice in the future.

Tiasia graduated in May of 2019 from Rutgers University (Camden) with a degree in criminal justice. She will be entering the workforce in the fall with the hopes of entering law school within the next couple of years. Contratulations, Tiasia!

Meet Forman Scholar Michael Warner, who graduated from Rowan University in January of 2015 - our first Forman Scholar to graduate from college! Following graduation, Michael worked as a lab technician at Drexel University's Department of Pharmacology and Physiology. His current job is working as a software developer for a company called Holman Automotive in South Jersey. Michael also hopes to be an author some day so is also working to fine tune his writing skills. We are all very proud of you Michael!

Meet Forman Scholar Elizabeth Hogate. "Lissie," as she is better known, is a May 2020 graduate of East Stroudsburg University earning a degree in Business Management and Hospitality. Her goal is to become an event planner, and she got a jump start in that career by being involved in several jobs and internships while a student at ESU. For instance, she assisting with event planning at the Salem Country Club and completed an internship with Vagabond Cruises at Hilton Head, SC. With her drive and enthusiasm, she is sure to be very successful!

Meet Forman Scholar Samantha Miller. Samantha is a graduate of Kutztown University with a degree in Commercial Music. Samantha is putting this degree to great use as a member of South Jersey's leading arts education organization, Apple Farm Arts and Music Center! Her beautiful voice and skilled clarinet playing will obviously have a tremendous impact on her upcoming career. Congratulations, Samantha!

Ayanna Chapman graduated from Rowan University with a degree in political science, where she spent an impactful semester abroad studying in the Dominican Republic. Now she is exploring options for her next adventure, whether that be law school or a career in international relations. Whatever path she takes, we know she’ll do great things. Congratulations, Ayanna!

Meet Forman Scholar Thomas Poliski. He graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering degree. He always dreamed of working at a start-up, and now he’s living his dream as a junior robotics engineer at Uchimura Robotics, a robotics start-up in Atlanta, Georgia. Congratulations, Thomas!

Tanner graduated in May of 2019 from St. Joseph's University with a degree in Finance. When he graduated, he was hoping to make his mark in the banking and/or investment field as he entered the workforce. He is well on his way to do that and is currently working at Freedom Mortgage training to be an underwriter. Good luck, Tanner, and thank you for being a wonderful Forman Scholar!
