Research

The Forman Acton Foundation wants to make sure our programs are working, which is why we are constantly researching how to make the work we do better. We are committed to collecting data and information to assess each program and add to the research on increasing college access and its successful completion.

Foundation staff are committed to collecting and analyzing a wide array of information to support data-informed decision making. We will share this research and findings on an ongoing basis to inspire conversations about how we can continue to improve education in the greater Salem City community.

Currently, we are collecting data from the grants we have made, all of which require specific, measurable goals and objectives to target needs identified by the grantees. We aim to use this data to assess short-term and long-term outcomes of these funded initiatives, especially as they relate to furthering the vision and mission of the Foundation.

Besides our own primary research, we continually review the latest studies of increasing college attendance rates for all children, focusing on everything from early childhood to college savings to community collaboration.

If you have any suggestions or ideas for research and collaboration, please share them with us at info@formanscholars.org.
