Introducing the 2024 Class of Forman Scholars
The Forman Acton Foundation is thrilled to officially announce its 2024 Class of Forman Scholars. Following a comprehensive application and interview process, the members of the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee have selected 12 students in their senior year at Salem High School to join the Foundation’s cornerstone scholarship initiative. The newest Forman Scholars join a cohort of nearly 100 Salem students who have benefitted from the program for nearly 10 years.
“Our 12 newest Forman Scholars perfectly epitomize grace, grit and greatness – the very qualities that we seek to nurture in all of our students. With bold aspirations for the future and a willingness to make a difference in their communities, these exceptional students are poised to succeed not only in college but also in life after graduation,” said Kortney Swanson Davis, Esq., President and CEO of the Forman Acton Foundation. “I congratulate each of our Forman Scholars on earning this distinction, and as they progress through the program and their college journeys, I look forward to witnessing their many achievements inside and outside of the classroom. I have no doubt they will thrive on their campuses and as members of their newfound college communities.”

To be eligible for selection as a Forman Scholar, students must be in their senior year of high school, be residents of Salem City or attend school in Salem City, and be enrolled in the Foundation’s Acorn Fund. The Foundation’s Scholarship Committee considers an array of factors, including applicants’ financial need and academic performance, when making its selections.
The newest Forman Scholars and the Foundation’s staff recently met to discuss their selection and hear from each Forman Scholar about their postsecondary plans. Stay tuned to learn more about each Forman Scholar, their achievements and their personal visions for the future.
