Introducing the 2025 Class of Forman Scholars
The Forman Acton Foundation is delighted to announce its 2025 Class of Forman Scholars. Following a comprehensive application and interview process, the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee has selected 11 students in their senior year of high school to join the Foundation’s cornerstone scholarship program. The newest Forman Scholars join a cohort of 100-plus students who have benefitted from the program over the past decade.

All selected students will begin as Rising Forman Scholars in their junior year of high school. “Our Forman Scholars are curious thinkers, bold leaders and determined students – and this year’s cohort is no exception. I am in awe not only of their individual accomplishments but also their eagerness to share their many talents with others. As they venture beyond Salem and embark upon their college careers, I trust that this commitment to personal achievement and passion for community service will continue to guide and inspire these Scholars,” said Kortney Swanson Davis, Esq., President and CEO of the Forman Acton Foundation. “We’re equally excited to begin working with our Rising Forman Scholars as they navigate the final chapter of their high school journeys. By accepting Scholars in their junior year, as opposed to their senior year, we’ll have a greater opportunity to support these students as they tour college campuses, examine different majors and contemplate career paths. It’s a true win-win!”
Students selected as Forman Scholars receive a $50,000 scholarship for use toward their college expenses, either at the undergraduate or graduate level. As part of their ongoing involvement in the program, Forman Scholars also take part in mentorship and networking opportunities that encourage them to connect with the Foundation’s staff members and fellow Forman Scholars.
To be eligible for selection as a Forman Scholar, students must be residents of Salem City or attend school in Salem City, and be enrolled in the Foundation’s Acorn Fund. The Foundation’s Scholarship Committee considers an array of factors, including applicants' financial need and academic performance, when making its selections. Through this comprehensive evaluation process, the organization aims to support well-rounded individuals who will continue to contribute to society long after their educational journey.
