What attracted you to Stockton?

I was initially drawn to Stockton’s beautiful campus and welcoming community. I feel like the smaller class sizes and supportive professors will create a great learning environment. Most importantly, their strong health sciences programs align perfectly with my career goals.

How are you planning to get involved in college?

Throughout my college experience, I plan on joining many clubs and organizations as well as becoming an ambassador to help first-year students navigate the campus and learn more about what Stockton has to offer. I'm looking forward to making new friends, attending events and really stepping outside of my comfort zone, all while growing as a student and as an individual.

Why are college and the college experience so important?

College is important because it is about so much more than just schoolwork. It is an experience that helps you grow academically, socially and personally. College is a place with so much diversity, where you will meet so many kinds of people and come across opportunities you may never encounter again. Higher education, to me, means taking advantage of this time to learn, explore and grow into the best version of oneself while preparing for a meaningful career.

How do you plan on making a difference in the world?

Making a difference in the world may not always be easy, but I believe it is always possible through consistent effort and compassion. I plan on making a difference by standing up for what I believe in, whether that is through advocacy, protesting, fundraising or even just helping people in their daily lives. I especially hope to support Hispanic communities, inspired by my experience as a first-generation student in my family. Inspired by my parents’ hard work, my goal is to not only support the Hispanic community but to use my voice to help all those in need.

What does being a Forman Scholar mean to you?
